As a sanctuary, our focus is on providing care and rehabilitation for horses in need. We truly believe every horse has a purpose and that you don't throw a life away just because its banged up a little.

Sophia Stables was founded in 2020 after pulling our first horse from a kill pen. Seeing the need that so many horses have and the lack of resources available has led us to create a soft landing for horses that have found themselves in a bad place.
